WHAT T.I.A. REALLY MEANS

Editor -- Total Information Awareness? I think a better term would be
Totalitarianism In America. This is the biggest step toward a Big
Brother society ever envisioned, and it is being led by
liar-to-Congress Poindexter! Where is the outrage? A semen stain on a
dress generated more concern than the total loss of freedom this
represents. Bizarre.

SECURITY MISMANAGED
Editor -- We can all relax because we now have homeland security.
Never mind the fact that the only thing that is more secured now than
before is a paranoid government that can now spy on us even more than
before.

We already had sufficient laws to detect terrorists and protect our
rights. Testimony given Congress proved that the terrorists were not
stopped on 9/11 due to bad management, not bad detection. It is the
very same management appointed by President Bush. The only reason we
have homeland security is to cover-up Bush's mismanagement of our
security.

DEMOCRAT LAPDOGS
Editor -- I read repeatedly of Democratic senators and members of
Congress having misgivings about Bush administration policies, from
the war on Iraq, to judicial nominees, to the Department of Homeland
Security, yet giving in each time to the president's demands.

The Democratic Party is no longer living up to its name. It has become
a lapdog of the Bush administration. A lapdog that is rolling over and
playing dead. Due to fear of being branded unpatriotic, those who
should be keeping Bush and his cronies in check are giving this
administration carte blanche to run roughshod over our constitutional
rights.

This is a democracy in decline. Members of al Qaeda must be gloating
over the turn of events in this country. The effects of their heinous
attack on the World Trade Center have far exceeded their expectations,
not only in loss of life and economic costs but in bringing down the
world's greatest democracy from within.

Why? Possibly Christian indoctrination warped their priorities so
badly. You have a nation of sheep, little different from pre-Nazi
Germany who are frightened and are willing to close their eyes and
trust anyone who claims that they are destroying civil rights for a
good cause.

And yet, one notices from your SIG that you ask for US dollars for your
services. Hypocrit.

If you require an explanation, chances are you won't understand it. But I'll
give it to you anyway. Roedy likes to spew hate about all things US-related,
yet he has no compunction about accepting US currency, which is backed by
the "full faith and credit" of the US government and the US people. That is
hypocrisy. Get it?

True. I don't reply to Skywalker's posts as a rule; however, since he
addressed me directly, I felt that good manners required a reply. I realize
that kind of attitude is usually wasted on Usenet, but you know ...

you're right, so why bother...

you and your buddy 'who' are apparently incapable of coherent
explanations to back up your reflexive irrational dislike for all
things 'librul', so of course i will respond to your antipathy with
what it deserves, more of the same. but don't fool yourself into
believing that i'm incapable of having a productive exchange with real
conservatives, who are interested in real discussion, instead of empty
name calling. there are many conservatives here i respect, if i don't
always agree with them.
