Well, I guess the WD stores are on there way south. They have been horribly understaffed the last few times we've gone there, but tonight takes the cake. We went to one of the "Marketplaces" and there was a single cashier trying to check out every customer in the store. Methinks the hidden costs of the loyalty card and deferred maintenence are finally making the fat lady sing. The only time I've seen businesses resort to such extreme staff cutting is when the bean-counters are in total control and the creditors are banging on the corporate doors. Inevitably it means a bankruptcy or sale to another company within a short period.

The WD's in my area, those that remain, even though remodeled in the last couple of years, just don't compare in quality to Publix, most Kash N' Karry's, and Albertsons. It's a rare occasion when I shop there anymore. Unlike, say, Albertsons, WD required personal info to get their card so I declined. <hchickpea@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:40769ae4.30077849@News.Individual.NET... > Well, I guess the WD stores are on there way south.
