I doubt the Palestinians are killing their own children. This is just more Jewish propaganda to justify the slaughter of Palestinian civilians and children. I just cannot understand how much longer the world community is going to sit by passively while these massacres take place, in Palestine, in Iraq, in Iran. Palestinians shooting their own children ISRAEL REDEPLOYS, WARNS OF MORE RAFAH TUNNEL RAIDS Army said to have proof of Palestinians shooting their own children ICEJ NEWS SERVICE FROM JERUSALEM (icej.org) =========================================== Friday 21 May 2004 Israel has denied Palestinian reports that the extensive four-day operation to close down the weapons-smuggling infrastructure in the southern Gaza border area of Rafah has come to an end, even as Palestinian residents emerged from their homes and surveyed the damage for the first time Friday. Operation Rainbow, aimed at flushing out the terrorists and arms smugglers, will continue, military sources told Haaretz Friday morning and the troops were merely "redeploying." "In the coming days," the sources told the paper, "there will be continuous military operations in the area. We still have many missions to carry out there, and that's exactly what we will do." The Palestinians "can't breath easy yet," another senior military source told Army Radio. As many as 40 Palestinians, most of them armed gunmen but including a number of civilians and children, have been killed in the past days since Israeli forces arrived en masse to put a stop to the weapons trade before a shipment of Iranian long-range rockets and shoulder launched missiles reached the Gaza Strip from Egypt. Israel has not ruled out the possibility that tank shells fired at an empty building on Wednesday ahead of a Palestinian protest march could have contributed to the civilian death toll, but fiercely disputes targeting children. One army officer told Maariv on Wednesday that he believed that the Israeli shells could have triggered a series of Palestinian roadside bombs, in an area rigged to inflict high casualties among incoming Israeli troops. It emerged Friday that the IDF had acted as they did in a bid to turn the protesters back, unaware that the children leading the march were as close as they were to the line of fire. They acted primarily out of concern that the 3,000 protesters intermingled with armed men carrying RPGs would cut Israeli armored divisions off from an unprotected infantry unit looking for tunnels and terror suspects on the other side of the road. While New York Times correspondent James Bennet saw for himself the bullet wounds which claimed the lives of at least two Palestinian children in a Rafah hospital on Wednesday - Haaretz writer Amir Oren, offered a different insight into the conflicting stories surrounding some of the Palestinian civilian dead. In a devastating critique of the IDFs lack of preparedness for the crowds encountered in Rafah on Wednesday Oren casually interjects the possibility that Palestinian fighters callously killed their own. When men obeyed the calls over the loudspeakers to turn themselves in to the IDF authorities, Oren said at the end of his Weeks End analysis, they were confronted by members of the terror organizations, who opened fire on them and killed two children. A senior officer in Gaza reported yesterday that the IDF have in their possession pictures of this incident, Oren continued - of Palestinians killing their children. According to Oren, the officer was amazed that the army has so far refrained from publishing them.
