Hi Susan, There are several binoculars that will focus at less than 10 feet. An excellent although expensive one is the Leica 10x32. The Orion Savannah 8x42 and Celestron Regal 8x42 (virtually the same) will focus in less than 7 feet. The Savannah 10x42 and Celestron Regal 10x42 will focus in less than 10 feet.
