I'm in the west north-west side of the Twin Cities and I just spotted my first RBN today feeding at my feeders, about two days ago I spotted my first White-throated Sparrow although I heard them a few days before that, they have that distinctive little peep noise that they make so I knew they were around. Again I have very mixed feeling about seeing the RBN's here because I'm going to be moving soon, it just figures that the first winter they show up in awhile is the winter that I'm moving!! They are probably my |all time favorite bird ;-) We never had any last year :-( | |I was really proud of having seen these at Seny in our UP here |last month while on vacation. When I got back home and told my |Mom, she told me that they had just started showing up at our |feeder. This is the earliest we have noticed them here. They |have become a regular visitor again now. | |Haven't seen any Junco's here yet though. Any one else seen |them and how far south? | |Leon Fisk |Grand Rapids MI |Remove no.spam for email
