Hi all, I've just joined this forum, and would like to introduce myself. I run a wild bird shelter in Victoria, Australia. I mainly look after raptors (birds of prey) but I never turn away any bird - they all have feathers. I would love to tell you about the eagles, little eagles, harriers, frogmouths, parrots etc. that I currently have at my shelter, but this page isn't big enough. Visit me at http://moneyraptor.com and you will see some of the most beautiful birds on the net, and the list is growing daily. regards, Theresa Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Hi John, A yabbie is a crustacean, much like a lobster, only much smaller. They are prolific in Aussie, and very polular with both birds and people. They grow (depending on the breed) from 3 inches through to 10 inches. Kingfishers and Tawny Frogmouths adore them. A lot of kids in Aussie keep them as pets, and breed them for colour - as they range from dark brown to red to blue to green and I've even seen the occasional yellow one. If you like I'll post a picture of one on my site and send you the URL. Just let me know. regards, Theresa http://moneyraptor.com Where Birds Fly Free Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
