I just returned (last night) from a week in Mexico. Can you imagine.... sitting poolside, wearing only my binoculars (CO beach resort), with a Pina Colada and Peterson's Guide to Mexican Birds within easy reach, I observed the following: Osprey Semipalmated Plover Hooded Oriole Brown Pelican Magnificant Frigatebird Social Flycatcher Brown Boobie Red Vented WP Tropical Mockingbird Great Kiskadee Yellowcrowned Night Heron Least Sandpiper Ruddy Turnstone Spotted Sandpiper Great White Heron Groove Billed Ani Yellow Throated Warbler White Rumped sandpiper Mangrove Warbler Tropical Kingbird Black Bellied Plover In order to see a Plain Chachacara, Clay Colored Robin and Great Tailed Grackle I had to get dressed and visit the Jardin Botanica in Puerto Morales. (spider monkeys and trantulas were a bonus!). Lots of warblers and other birds I didnt get a good enough of a look at to ID. It's a drag being home! cheers Jack "Chance favors the prepared mind"
