NPS coupling redux

Having failed to find 1" NPS stainless couplings I ordered some NPT
couplings and a pipe tap ($43.00 -- thanks for the tip Dan Listermann).
Unfortunately my tap handle was just a little too small for the 7/8" square
shank on the tap. However, placing the tap in a vice and using a monkey
wrench (left handed, of course) on the coupling worked very well with a
little bit of cutting oil. Stainless is very soft and the 1/32 of waste
came off easily in minutes. Surprisingly, the outside of the coupling was
barely marred. My straight threaded immersion heating elements fit
perfectly.
