Does anyone have a recipe for a good macaroon?  I would really appreciate

These are pretty good.

---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.07

      Title: Bakers Best Macaroons
 Categories: New_untried, Cookies
   Servings: 36

  2 2/3 c  Coconut                           1/4 t  Salt
    2/3 c  Sugar                               4    Egg whites
      6 T  Flour                               1 t  Almond extract

  Heat oven to 325. Mix coconut, sugar, flour and salt in large bowl.
Stir in
  egg whites and almond extract until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls
onto
  lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 20 mins. or until edges of cookies
are
  golden brown.  Immediately remove from cookie sheets. Cool on wire
racks.

This looks simple and not as fattening as I thought it might be.  Do you
have any nutrional information on calories and fat per cookie?

I don't, but the recipe came from the company that makes Bakers Coconut.
You might try them. They have a toll-free #.  1-800-431-1001
The recipe is from a booklet called Holiday Desserts that I picked up a
couple of years ago.
