02 Honda CR250 vibration/knocking problem

I know some one who has an 02Honda CR250, he has already been into the crank
case because " it was knocking ", they found nothing out of tolerance and
put it back together,it is still there as well as the same heavy vibration
it
has had since day one [ brand new ].
Anyone know of why he is having so much vibration or any checks he can do to
try to get rid of it, I have not rode the bike but this is coming from a
well skilled veteran rider and he says it is severe.
Thanks.
Dave.

Sounds like you might have a loose rod . Usually when you have a knocking
sound in the case it is a rod, but if the bikes new I cant see it being the
rod. If its vibrating it could be loose bolts or nuts. This is very
typical of new bikes.

Ya, he went threw it all thanks, everything is within spec, it also has a
new [ factory ] piston, and he has checked all the bolts.
someone suggested to him to back off the engine mount bolts a bit, run the
engine and then tighten it all up again as it is running just in case there
is a high stress area carrying harmonics into the frame.
Maybe these bikes are just that way, but he says it is pretty bad on his
hands, and this is from someone that can normally do major laps before any
type of fatigue sets in .
Thanks for the input.
Dave.

I do not think he thought of that one, something to check for sure.
I will pass it on.
Thanks Tim.
