I'm getting ready to go out for a little ride. My daughter said there is a hornet building a nest outside her window (between her upper sash and the storm window). Sure enough, he was there... one of those white face jobs. I *f'ing* hate hornets. I'll go anywhere to kill one. I learned to shoot as a kid picking them out of the sky with my bb gun. So I got my laser pointer and pointed it inside his little hornet-shit sculpture that holds his cute little offspring. Talk about PISSED OFF:) Wings fluff out... tries to make his dead-but-doesn't-know-it-yet ass look bigger than he is... he goes for the spot and sticks his ugly little f'ing hornet head in between junior and the laser so the beam is on his eyes. MORE pissed off:) I'd move the spot along the storm window away and then back to his "house" and he'd stay with it literally BITING at it. Did you know they BITE? All agitated looking the whole time. Next I got the grill starter and snapped off a little flame inside the glass on my side. I guess they don't like fire either:) I gotta get a second laser and drive his anxiety/hopelessness factor through the roof. This is SO fun... Maybe I'll make birdhouses after I get sick of this. To the woods... Mike ps - Just to document it somewhere I can actually look up: 6/30/03 Tetnus shot. -- Mike W. 96 XR400 74 CZ250 Enduro BRC, AMA, NETRA, NOHVCC, NRA Suburban trail-riding best practices: http://www.crocker.com/~mwilliams/Suburban.htm

I think I'm going to kill his ass tomorrow myself. As for the ride, it was steamy here and I got caught in a pretty decent downpour crossing a hayfield. My front was pretty drenched by the time I made it to the woods. Hung out under a pine tree for a while, bothering various people's answering machines. My goggles were so shot (soaked on the inside) that I rode the rest of the day without em. After about 45 min, I came across a guy riding with his son who had slid out and hit his chain on a rock knocking his masterlink out. A precision crash to me... I had a spare so I hooked him up and followed them out (I wasn't sure it would stay since I haven't put one in since the 70's). See you guys next week... I'm off to VT to hang out with the family.
