Cycle mag test wanted BSA B50

Sometime in the 72-73 time frame the old magazine "Cycle" had a test on the
BSA B50MX. Along with the stocker they also had a B50 with a big bore kit.
If one of the friendly RMDers would be kind enough to scan that test or be
willing to sell the magazine itself I`d really appreciate it.
Thanks

If you don't have any luck here, try eBay. I see a lot of tests on
old bikes listed there.

Thanks guys for the help.
Chris, I didn't know that other magazines had reports on it also. Your`s had
even more information than I remember the Cycle report to have.
Back in 73 my father and myself installed one of the big bore kits based on
the Cycle magazine test. For various reasons we never completed the project.
Now some 30 years later I am hoping to finish it up.
Welcome all advice and direction.

Chris,
nice bike !! Are your foot pegs moved back ? That was one thing that made
riding one of those difficult.
A couple of other sources for big bore parts
http://www.evengineering.com
http://www.speedandsport.com/
"One" of the other issues with not completing our bike was the fact that I
broke the second compression ring. When the spacer plate was reinstalled.
EV engineering has them (that`s how I found out about the pushrods being to
long) and Speed and Sport can get them. Talked to both yesterday.
Did you convert to the Mikuni ?
Does Rabers sell the parts book ? I have the "pink" covered shop manual but
not the parts book.
Thanks

Have you tried here:
http://www.dropbears.com/c/classicmemories/stock.htm

There is an email link towards the bottom of that page...

The reason I (a mere lurker here <g>) responded is because I used to
subscribe to "Classic Bike", and I knew "Cycle" was kinda related.

I've got around 35 issues of Classic Bike dating from May '83 to March
87. (There may be others around here somewhere.) Anything in that
range you know of that you want?

I just sent you info on the big bore kits that used to be available,
feel free to ask any other B50 related questions.

The kits worked great, problem is that now there are no replacement
pistons or rings for the kits. I sold the kit that I had on my B50 when
the piston and rings became worn to the point where they both needed to
be replaced, it would have run me about $500. to have a piston and rings
made, so I went back to the stock bore. B50 parts are still pretty easy
to come by, I buy most of my BSA parts from Rabers in San Jose, Ca.
there are a couple of guys that work there who race B50's, they can be
of much help. The first thing you should do is buy a parts book, that
way you'll have access to all of the original part numbers, which all of
the british parts sources still use. One good thing is that if your B50
still has the original 20" front rim, 20" front tires are back in style
and readily available, I was forced to switch to a 21" front, several
years ago. Another good source for BSA info is Britbike.com, a friendly
and helpful place. Here's a few links, including a link to a picture of
my B50, after I rebuilt the motor and replaced the side panels, last
