I have an S&S Super E carb, SE Ditto for me, I have a '91 Sportster 1200 that is stock except for pipes. The splitfires made a noticable increase in low end power on this bike. Also the motor starts easier and runs smoother when cold than with the stock plugs. I even compared them against a set of brand new plain HD plugs and a set of brand new Accel plugs. The HD plugs make the engine run like crap when cold and I had to keep the enrichener out for an extended time to keep it running which fouls the plugs fast. The Accels have slightly better cold starting performance but I could tell no difference from the HD's once the motor was warmed up. With the SplitFires, I don't need to use the enrichener nearly as much to keep the engine running after a cold start. -- ============================================================================= Neal Howard '91 XLH-1200 DoD #686 CompuTrac, Inc (Richardson, TX) =============================================================================
