I thought maybe some of you should check it out before you buy new
motorcycle!

whats in that link here's example
name: xxxxxxxxx
email: xxxxxxxxx
harley: Several & 3 Wheelers
valkyrie: 98 Tourer

comments
I bough my first Harley in 1971 and sold my last one in 1997. I almost
always had more than one bike and some times as many as 10 at one time. I
had a Harley 1200 Hot rod Sporster with a chunk in the engine plus every
thing I could get on it and my touring bike was a 1500 Honda Gold Wing.

I got to where I hated to start the Harley because it was so loud that it
hurt my ears and my wife's. I felt burnt out on Bikes in general so I put
the Wing up for sale and The Harley. Sold the wing almost the same day but
took 5 weeks to get rid of the Harley. I told my wife I was through with
bikes only put 10,000 miles on the Harley and 8,000 on the Wing in 6 years,
so who needed a Motorcycle anyway.

The first nice Day in 1998 I went down to my friend (The Local Harley
Dealer) and he had a 98 Fat boy all set up for me and said here you go
Adrian I knew you'd be back. I went home and told my wife that I was going
to spend 18 grand for a new bike and she said that's fine its your money
from your toy sale but I want you to know I'm not going to ride with you
anymore. Of course I said why? Then she let me know that she was tired of
the crowd, Tired of noise and didn't like her Knees in he chest all the
time.

She had an add in Hot Rod Magazine about the Valkyrie and said I thought you
liked this bike. I said it looked OK in the add but I didn't know. Hadn't
seen one up close so how could an old Harley nut even admit he had looked at
anything other than an Hog.

She says lets go and look at one and see what you think. When I looked at my
bike setting there She said that things is nice and what do you think? I
said I really like it so the next words out of her mouth was Then you buy
that one and I will buy this 750 ACE Deluxe Shadow. Of course the rest is
history and I put over 15,000 miles on my bike the first year.

I am so glad she went with me.

Desperation. Are you trying to boost sales so that they can move the
99's they still have in crates, in an attempt to prevent Honda from
abandoning the model? ;)

Well, far be it from me to spread ugly rumours that Honda will drop

rumor??? hmmm i have not heard like that but i heard they will be AWESOME valkyrie styles (i think 4 styles)and honda kick at 1800cc with EFI. but im waiting for honda to release 2002 valkyrie.... heard lot of people putting thier $$$$ on depsoit for 2002 Valkyrie.

anyway i even think about buying that awesome VTX (while my brother & i looked at VTX and i saw valkyrie and it was too big i ingored valkyrie my brother said yeah too big and we stay with VTX bikes) & i feel nothing for VTX.. i look at Road King, i feel nothing for road king. i looked at V-Star 1100cc i feel nothing for V-Star (my brother has V-Star 650cc but sold). i looked at Royal Star and feel nothing for Royal Star. i thought about stay with my 1986 Shadow VT1100 then finally i decided to looked at valkyrie closer and sit on and i feel #$%#@$^& (i can't find word for it). so i bought valkyrie and ride it & love it. well if honda discontinued on valkyrie, that's fine with me because i got my valkyrie and im happy with it.i do not give damn if they stopped making it... i have NO regret to have valkyrie.

One suggestion Phyloe, it's CAPITAL as in not lowercase, not CAPITOL,
unless you are talking about the state capitol.

True, but the guy just wants to make friends among his fellow Valkyrie
riders! Obviously, there's nothing they more like to hear than this,
as it even gets copied and pasted to numerous forums like a precious,
religious text. <g>
