Not sure what "chad" means. Afaik gentoo is known for flexibility, because all binaries are built according to your specs and hardware. Should also have a positive implication for safety. But I have never used it myself. -- Posted on def2

There are some small points that annoy me with debian, but the advantages still outweigh them for me, so not sure if next step will ever happen. I used gentoo for a short time and it was nice, and if I remember correctly has some similarities to arch linux. gentoo for a while was producing a dist for bsd, but I think that's been discontinued.
