Posting just a few hours early because I'm beat after doing all the gardening. Play: --=-- Bloodborne (PS4) - Woo. Level 120-ish and all the main game bosses are down apart from the last one(s) and the ones in the Chalice dungeons. I'm trying to make my way through the DLC bosses now, because I've been stuck at the first real one for ages now and can't seem to find a groove. But I don't dare 'finish' the other part of the game because I know that locks off the DLC again, which is annoying. I really like the narrative that's being imparted in the DLC, because it's saying something subtle about power and corruption. In the game the institution of the Healing Church had only good intentions to start with, but it was ruined by a need to maintain its power when its ability to provide the valuable service was running out. It's a familiar tale that's only meaningful to me in my old age, because a younger me wouldn't have understood either the symbolism or the parallels to our own world. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 (PS4) - Power Stone is harder than I remember. Capcom vs SNK is still lovely but I don't remember all the moves. Project Justice is really nice and camp and I can't believe they haven't adapted it for a live action show after all this time. Want: --=-- Sonic Wings Reunion (PS5) - Red Art is publishing this in the west, but so far only digital releases are confirmed. Success (the game company, not generalised positive outcome) puts out really good shooters but lately they've been hard to come by on real media. I'm hoping Red Art sees fit to do a disc, knowing full well that it's presently harder for me to import things. Bin: -==- Nothing game-related. -KKC, who has blueberries to pick now.

Where we have exciting futuristic things like DVD players and multiple remote controls and cut-scenes which point that out. I'd say that the time jump was achieved in the most obvious way, for the most obvious reason, with the most obvious result (but rot13 FWIW - gur tnat ur jbexf sbe senzrf uvz sbe zheqre (nf nccneragyl qvfgvapg sebz gur raqyrff zheqref ur pbzzvgf va gur fnaqobk jvgu mreb pbafrdhraprf), ur tbrf gb cevfba sbe qrpnqrf, gura svanyyl trgf bhg naq vzzrqvngryl fgnegf xvyyvat bss rirelbar jub jnf vaibyirq). It's curious that while his flat got trashed, the building it's part of seemed relatively fine still. Anyway, aside from that and some weapon/car upgrades, it's pretty much been business as usual with more missions and more profanity-inducing bouncy motorbike escapades. Apparently 30-ish years wasn't long enough to upgrade the physics on said bikes to remotely-sane status. > Want: Nothing. > Sonic Wings Reunion (PS5) - Red Art is publishing this in the west, but > so far only digital releases are confirmed. If only they would cotton on to the demand for shooters on disc. > Bin: DPL not letting you jump even the tiniest amount when on foot - as I was reminded when I crashed (inevitably) a motorbike while on a rooftop, ending up on a marginally lower level, maybe two inches lower. So I couldn't get back on the bike despite being right next to it, and had to restart the mission. -Rus.
