What's with this prepending "U&" to the name of several TV channels? Seems totally silly; people won't say it when talking about the channels so it seems just some corporate nonsense that reduces what little respect there might have been for the channels in question (or the company behind them). -- J. Sorry - don't understand this. I've just been through the list of Freeview channels on my TV and none of them start with "U&". Also, I can't see any of the channels listed at <https://www.terrestrialtv.uk/dtt.php> beginning with "U&". -- Jeff

I've just found a prog. about it - 2024-6-18 - on AMTV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?vĂ3anP1mkkc . Although IMO not _quite_ up to his usual standard (which means it's still very good), it certainly has a lot of information. It's the channels under the UKTV brand. I either had forgotten or didn't know that that was - and is - wholly owned by BBC commercial. -- J. P. Gilliver. UMRA: 1960/<1985 MB++G()AL-IS-Ch++(p)Ar@T+H+Sh0!:`)DNAf A good pun is its own reword.
