Hi all,

Is the noise level of a motorbike part of the MOT test in the UK and
if so, do they test *every* bike regardless or only the ones that
strike the examiner as being too loud? Also, if anyone knows the legal
limit for exhaust noise, I'd be interested to know what it is.

For the MOT the rules are here

the exhaust the noise must not be unreasonable and IIRC the exhaust should
either be the original that came with the motorcycle or meet the requirements of
BS193 and be marked as such.
