Finally...

I get to use a tool that I've had for years.

A parts washer, that I got from TOG, RIP.

It's languished in the corner for years, I thought it had some kind of
problem (perhaps a leak?) but it seems fine.

I dragged it out because I've a bunch of SOT parts that are coated in
black diesel sludge.

The pump was a little bit sticky, soon sorted by dismantling and
cleaning it.

Fill up with some expensive cleaner fluid (fewer smelly than
diesel/paraffin) and it's good to go.

It's almost a pleasure to use, compared to using old baking trays,
petrol, and a paint brush.

Should have commisionned this years ago.

I've got one of those somewhere. With the emphasis on "somewhere"

What cleaning fluid do you use? Gunk and Jizer don't seem to be
available any more

the formula has probably changed but Granville still sell Gunk products
https://www.granvilleoil.com/products?cID

Product Name Gunk Engine Degreasant
Contains Kerosene, Hydrocarbons, C9, aromatics, BIO-SOFT 411-E

I have a few cans of Granville branded stuff from chain lube to degreaser.

Nice.

It's missing the "Not to be operated by fuckwits" sticker!

On my side of the pond, it's known as "Stoddard Solvent".

Luckily, otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it.
